Literary Picnic Comes to Via da Estrela Bar This Saturday

Bemposta will be the first parish in the municipality of Penamacor to host one of this year’s Literary Picnics, organised by CLDS 5G Inclusivo in partnership with Penamacor Municipal Library as part of the library’s 20th anniversary celebrations.

The event will take place on Saturday, 4 July, at 16:00, at Café Via da Estrela.

Designed to encourage conversation, memory and community spirit, the afternoon will feature a relaxed programme of literary and traditional activities, including:

• 📖 A short story reading

• 🤔 Riddles

• 🗣️ Proverbs and tongue twisters

• ☕ A shared afternoon snack

The Literary Picnics aim to promote active ageing while creating opportunities for people to come together, share memories and enjoy the pleasure of stories in a friendly setting.

The Bemposta event marks the beginning of a series of Literary Picnics that will take place throughout July in parishes across the municipality of Penamacor.

Whether you’re taking part or simply interested in supporting local community initiatives, everyone is welcome.
